Having done it once, it was time to do it all over again. I used exactly the same process as before and did not discover any problems in doing this.
This time it only took three hours to fit the hoop - half the time of the last one. And here's the end result:
Now I can relax!

Phew, and don't they look the business. Excellent result!
Phew is THE word!
Ready for anything now.
Top Job Simon, looks the business. That has to be one of the nastiest jobs out of the way. I have to say that yet again your method looks ideal, Id ring GD and show them how it should be done! Ill certainly be following your method when I eventually get round to it.
Well done!
Thanks Guys,
I think most people have problems becasue they try to do all three legs at the same time.
By turning the hoops round you can concentrate on the main legs. Before "spotting" the hole for the third leg you need to bolt the two main legs down to pull them square to the chassis.
The method I used isn't fool proof - you still need to check carefully at each stage - but it takes most of the guesswork out of it.
Good stuff! All these jobs come in pairs, the first takes ages to figure out and care to do right, the second is already a lot easier.
Are you fitting the round head bump thingies you see on some GD's?

Odd how all cars around you get a blank license plate! :-)
Shme the car hasn't got six hoops - the last one would only have taken half an hour.
Yup - padded headreasts to go in after SVA
