Bonnet Handles Finished

A couple of minutes work with the Dremel saw the necessary adjustments made to the openings in the bonnet and it was then a simple task to fit the handles and bolt them into place:

Unfortunately, the Dremel work created a load of dust (as usual) so another wash and vacuum was required:

Weather looks good tomorrow...... so off to work again in it I should think.

They look better. Any other mods in the pipeline?

Yeah..... the Stoneguards!!!

I'm not 100% happy with the finish so I'm off to find someone to polish them nicely.

Then I need to think about a hood..... and definitely doubling the size of the fuel tank!! :)

I think many cobs are fitted with the longer part of the handles facing forward? Is there an 'official' way to mount them or just personal preference?

Hi Marcel,

They can work either way.... I looked in my Trvor Legate Book and they all seemed to point to the rear.

If it helps the model I have on my desk has them facing backwards also.
